Golden Blueberry Matcha Latte

I love the trend of adding blueberry flavor to your latte. And even better adding blueberry to an iced matcha golden milk latte. Matcha and turmeric are some of the best anti-inflammatory ingredients. Also I love switching over to matcha in the afternoon because I don’t have the caffeine crash from coffee. This drink leaves me feeling good and energized.

Golden Blueberry Matcha Latte

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp matcha green tea
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 cup cashew milk
  • pinch black pepper
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 lemon *juiced*
  • pinch sea salt

Directions

  1. Make the blueberry sauce by adding the blueberries, lemon juice and honey to a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 10 minutes until berries begin to burst and the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and let cool.
  2. To a small bowl add in the matcha powder and a small amount of hot water. Whisk until there are no clumps and set aside to cool as well.
  3. In another glass add the cashew milk, turmeric and black pepper. Whisk with an electric mixer or frother until all combined.
  4. Pour the blueberry syrup into a large glass, fill with ice and then pour the golden milk on top. Lastly pour the matcha on top and stir.
